What do you think is the biggest problem in Belmont?




Evening / Weekend Patrols - Regular and ongoing patrols in marked police cruiser # 381. Patrol route covers all schools, town buildings, municipal properties, and any special attention areas. Also available as backup to full-time officers as needed on calls. Participation in patrol is required as a training activity of the unit.

Emergency Callouts - Belmont's Auxiliary Police unit participates in emergency callouts for such incidents as extreme weather, civil defense emergencies, missing persons, hazmat incidents, etc. 

The unit also participates in the following special events:

Auto Etching - Saturday March 28, Belmont Highway Dept, 37 "C" St., 9 AM - 2 PM. Joint event with the State Police Governor's Auto Theft Task force: Crime prevention event to etch VIN number into your auto glass.

Town Day - Saturday May 16, Traffic control and security for the annual event in Belmont Center.

Memorial Day Parade - Monday May 25. Traffic control and security for the annual parade, Cushing Square to Cemetery to Belmont High School. 
Brendan Grant 5K Road Race - Sunday June 21. Traffic and pedestrian control for foot race event.

Meet Belmont - August, Belmont High School Cafeteria, 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Annual event for citizens to meet local government and other civic groups.

Halloween - October 31. Extra neighborhood cruiser patrols with intense focus on every school building and all municipal property.

Thanksgiving Day Football Game - November. Traffic control for the game every other year, only when the event is held at Belmont High School
Holiday Tree Lighting - Traffic control and security for the annual event held in Belmont Center in early December.
